Research Technician in Chemistry

University of Liverpool - Faculty of Science and Engineering, School of Physical Sciences, Department of Chemistry

This post is available until 31 January 2019.

The Department of Chemistry has an opportunity for an experienced research technician to join an active research group with world-leading branched polymer programmes. The project will be conducted in an interactive working environment, spanning conventional free-radical chemistry and material science. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated technician that is interested in progression of new concepts through to application with relevant research interests and skills.  You will be comfortable working in a large team, have a minimum of a BTEC Higher level (or equivalent) and relevant experience is essential in the role as short deadlines and flexibility to address new demands is critical, therefore only a minimum learning period is available.  Previous work in a polymer synthesis environment, preferably branched polymers, with material analysis and an understanding of physical chemistry is very important.
