Enterprise Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly team of enterprise officers that report to the Enterprise Manager, with the responsibility of supporting the administration of consultancy and knowledge exchange activity undertaken by IOE academic staff.

Duties include: preparing costings and pricing for consultancy and knowledge exchange; supporting academic colleagues with the preparation of bids; establishing and maintaining accurate project records, budget monitoring project finances and ensuring income and expenditure are correctly accounted for, and taking corrective action where necessary; supporting the lead academic in dealing with administration requests made by funders including preparing progress reports, final evaluation reports and financial statements.

Other duties include: processing invoices, raising purchase orders and/or recharges, journal transfers, year-end accounts, as well as running transaction queries and reports as needed using the UCL finance system.

The successful candidate will have exceptional financial administration skills and be highly organised. They will have a professional  and proactive approach to work with the ability to exercise initiative and prioritise under pressure to meet multiple deadlines. Additionally, they will be highly numerate with significant experience of financial administration, including budget set-up, monitoring and reporting, forecasting and conducting financial analyses. They will possess excellent record keeping skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and have excellent communications skills in order to dealing effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including colleagues across levels of UCL and external organisations. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in higher education in a role supporting grant administration, funded projects and/or European funded projects.

We are currently recruiting for both a full-time and part-time officer. Applicants will need to state which post they would like to apply for.

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6. The salary range will be £28,014 - £32,830 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
