Clinical Research Support Officer

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis for a period of 6 months at 0.60 FTE. Suitable applicants interested in applying for this post on a secondment basis will be considered for the position.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed-term Clinical Research Support Officer. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with current knowledge and understanding of relevant Clinical Research legislation, experience of working in a clinical research or healthcare environment and an understanding of the requirements of trials that do not involve an investigational medicinal product (non-CTIMP) clinical studies during their life-cycle from set-up to close out.

This is a new role created within the University earlier in 2017 and the role-holder will be required to continue to shape the role to support Lancaster’s developing clinical research portfolio in new areas. Based in Research & Enterprise Services, and working closely with (clinical) academics within the Faculty of Health and Medicine as well as across the University, the role-holder will be expected to lead the establishment of a proactive service across the University to support the University’s ambitions to develop clinical research capability.

You will be highly motivated, proactive, have excellent interpersonal and professional skills with the ability to work autonomously and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
