Working Pattern: This is a part time position 80% FTE or less with the exact working commitment and working pattern to be agreed between the successful candidate and the Head of Faculty Finance
Location: New Spring House
Salary: Grade 7:
£30,688 - £38,833 per annum pro-rata. Potential to progress to £42,418 (pro rata) per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.

We are looking to recruit a proactive and confident individual to join our Faculty Finance Team. The primary focus of the role will be to support the Faculty Finance Manager in managing the financial affairs of the Faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting for a number of assigned academic areas. Their main duties will include budgetary control and reporting, forecasting, costing and pricing, business planning and the development of improved working relationships and practices. The post-holder will provide direct line management to a section of the Faculty Finance Team.

Applicants will need to demonstrate strong accountancy skills and be a qualified or part qualified CCAB accountant (or hold other relevant professional qualification/equivalent experience) with a proven track record of outstanding service delivery. The successful candidate should have experience of setting high standards of financial performance with the ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential.

The role will be based within the Faculty Finance team, Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities comprises of four departments and two schools, and hosts a diverse range of research centres. The academic departments and schools are among the best in the country in terms of learning and teaching, fostering the development of highly employable graduates.
