Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with university experience required to lead on enhancement of career development and employability for students on the Undergraduate Biomedical Science Programme (BSc & MSci),including coordinating existing activity and stimulating new initiatives, which support the development of students’ employability prospects.Experience of developing contacts, and engaging and working with relevant employer networks, and alumni, would be advantageous.

The post holder will also be expected to contribute to teaching on the programme, delivering broad-based teaching across biomedical sciences. Applicants with expertise in any subject area will be considered. It is envisaged that teaching will take up 50% of the post holder’s time.  

Applicants must have a first degree in a biological science and a PhD in any area related to biomedical science. Experience of delivery of teaching at this level is essential. Experience of assessment, small group teaching and running laboratory based research projects is desirable.

A 15-minute lecture in any area of biomedical science, based at undergraduate student level, will be required as part of the interview process.

The salary for the role will be within the range of SGUL 7 - SGUL 8 pay scale depending on experience:

Lecturer - SGUL 7: £39,999 - £47.722 plus £3,027 London Allowance.

Senior Lecturer - SGUL 8:   £49,149 - £56,950 plus £3,027 London Allowance
