The post-holder will join the Clinical Trials team within the Centre for Experimental Medicine & Rheumatology (EMR) working on a portfolio of clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs) and non-CTIMPs.

The purpose of this role is to monitor clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs) and non-CTIMPs supported by the Experimental Medicine & Rheumatology Clinical Trials Centre (EMR CTC) at QMUL in order to ensure compliance with ICH-GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and current relevant regulatory legislation Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004, Data Protection Act 1998, the Human Tissue Act 2004, and sponsor requirements.

This is a junior monitoring post and will be suitable for candidates wishing to gain experience in monitoring of CTIMPs and other research studies. Training will be provided. Monitoring activities will primarily cover London sites and some other UK sites as applicable. Approximately 50% of the role will also comprise a number of other supporting clinical trial administrative duties to assist other members of the EMR CTC. A priority responsibility will be the collation and management of ultrasound and x-ray electronic images from trial sites, anonymization of images and QC checking.

The Centre offers cutting edge facilities and is located in the heart of the City of London in close proximity to the Barbican Arts and Music Centre. The Centre is integrated with the Department of Rheumatology and part of the world renowned William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI).

This is a full time post for 12 months. Starting salary will be in the range £26,717- £32,956 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
