Placements Officer (81444-018)

This post is an exciting opportunity for a Placements Officer to join the School of Life Sciences to develop and support a comprehensive programme of placement and internship opportunities for students. You will identify new opportunities for Placement and Internships, whilst guiding and advising students through both the placement and Internships application process, and whilst they are on placement by monitoring progress and on-site visits.

The whole process will need to ensure compliance with the University’s guidance and procedures regarding work placements, internships and work experience provision, as well as that of relevant organisations including UKVA, ASET and other professional bodies with a stake in the field of work-based learning.

You will have a degree in the Biological Sciences area, or related field, or equivalent formal training/ relevant work experience, with experience in sourcing, establishing and promoting work experience, placements, internships or apprenticeship opportunities. Experience of developing and implementing policies, systems and procedures within a regulatory framework would be desirable.
