We invite you to join our dedicated research team based in Brighton addressing vital employment issues including vocational and higher education, employment and welfare policy and workplace wellbeing.

The Institute for Employment Studies (IES) is a leading independent centre for evidence-based research and consultancy. Our people have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of research activities and we support them to enhance their research capability and develop their own area of research interest.

We are looking for people with either:

a) a higher degree in a social science discipline with evidence of an understanding of UK and/or European employment policy and/or HR policy and practice, and an interest in employment issues


b) an undergraduate social science degree coupled with significant relevant work experience (at least six months) in an applied research setting or other relevant employment.
