The Opportunity

The appointee will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses both on campus and through distance and flexible learning modes (including blended and online modes); participate and contribute to the research and publications profile of the school; oversee the accreditation of existing programmes by international accreditation agencies; contribute to the administrative functions of the school and to the development of new courses and programmes. The appointee will also assume responsibilities of Head of School of Management and Public Administration.

The Person We Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A PhD in Commerce and/or Management or related field.
  • Extensive teaching experience in at least two of the following areas: General Management, Marketing and International Business, Human Resource Management and Employment Relations.
  • A distinguished record of research and publication in relevant fields.
  • A successful record in Masters and PhD level thesis supervision.

Preference will be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in senior leadership roles at the School or Faculty level.
  • Relevant administrative experience of running a management or business school.

Remuneration
The position is available for a term of 5 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Salary Range: Professor FJ$129,078 to FJ$139,543 per annum.

An inducement allowance may be paid to an exceptionally well qualified candidate.

In addition to the above benefits, the University contributes 10% of basic salary to an approved superannuation scheme, provides airfare and relocation costs where appropriate.
