Summary of Job Purpose and Principal Duties

80% FTE
Fixed Term for 14 months

Job Purpose
To contribute to a portfolio of implementation science, quality improvement and educational research projects carried out in partnership working with the Health Services Research Unit, University of Aberdeen. To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of academic researchers contributing to and supporting a broad range of projects within the EDP and the CEW. A key responsibility of this post is the management and analysis of quantitative data including accessing, linking and analysing large national routinely collected datasets for the development and evaluation of implementation science / quality improvement interventions.

Summary of Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Have a good first degree and postgraduate degree in a health services research related discipline is essential. The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary research team with experience of health services research and excellent communication skills with colleagues, external collaborators and research participants is required.

You must have the ability to communicate complex information to a range of audiences and the ability to prepare scientific reports and peer review publications. You must have experience of and competence in quantitative data analysis and have knowledge, experience and competence in a range of statistical data analysis techniques.
