Part-time Collections Project Officer - Esmée Fairbairn Project

The Pitt Rivers Museum is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic part-time Collections Project Office for 18.75 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until 30 November 2019.

The postholder will form part of the project team funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections fund to utilise the collection of textiles from the Arab world at the Pitt Rivers Museum as a springboard to recruit community volunteers who will bring in different voices and narratives to the Museum, enhance collections knowledge and interpretation, and reach out to different audiences. 

The project also aims to look at the social impact of the Museums’ collections whilst developing the volunteers’ confidence, supporting community integration and including different audiences in the museum.
