Accounts Assistant, Shared Services Processing

The Finance Division is seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join its Shared Services Finance section.  The Finance Division manages the financial resources of the University and the support services for the financial functions carried out by the University's departments.  The role will be part of the Shared Services Processing team, based at Greenwich House, Madingley Road.

Shared Services Processing provides a wide range of financial processing services to the University's departments and supports the drive for change and increased efficiencies

The role holder will provide assistance to the Team Leader in the provision of a customer-focused service.  As part of a busy team, the role holder will be dealing with queries on financial processing matters and University procedures.  He/she will carry out supplier invoice processing and may occasionally carry out secondary invoice approvals using the University's financial system.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to work effectively in a team and have experience dealing with customers and colleagues at all levels. Good time management and attention to detail is essential.

Candidates should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Mathematics. Experience using Oracle Financials will be an advantage as will experience of processing high volumes of data in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to work towards their AAT qualification.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records) check, a health assessment and a security check.
