The Faculty of Medicine is a world leader in medical research and is consistently ranked amongst the top Medical Schools in the world, with an annual research income in excess of £180M and over 3500 students. The Faculty is now looking to recruit a Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to: 

  • Drive forward the development of the Faculty’s financial strategy; leading on the development of the Faculty’s business model and new initiatives.
  • Manage and deliver the strategic financial plan and forecasting for the Faculty.
  • Deliver the financial reporting and management information requirements of the Faculty.
  • Oversee the management of the Faculty’s financial resources.
  • Line management of Faculty finance staff.

You will need to be a qualified accountant with post qualification experience, including line management.  This job involves a significant amount of interaction with staff across the Faculty, who will have varying degrees of financial awareness.  As well as having first rate technical skills, you will need to have excellent communication and influencing skills, combined with a high degree of energy and commitment.
