Due to an internal restructure, the Student Finance & Cash Management Service is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to provide routine administrative support in relation to finance to staff and students.

The role involves maintaining financial systems and/or undertaking routine tasks that support the working of teams, processes and/or projects.

The job requires relevant financial knowledge gained through experience and on-the-job training.

Vacancies at this level work within established processes and procedures, with minimum day-to-day supervision under the guidance of a team leader.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Finance Administrator with good ICT skills and excellent communication and customer service skills. The post holder will carry out a range of duties such as:

Provide a customer based service and delivery that enhances the student experience whilst at the University.

Co-ordinate and correspond with External Debt Agencies and External Solicitors to ensure court processes are adhered to and raising purchase orders where necessary.

Assisting in the Cash Office and handling cash on a daily basis.

Administering and processing of Scholarships and Bursaries - using the Student Loan Company application.

Operate a management data base system for Direct Debit and Recurrent Card Payments.

Assisting with the Student Loan Company Attendance Confirmation Report (ACR) and Change of circumstances (COC’s).

Liaise with the Student Loan Company on student finances.

Raise Sponsor invoices.
