Purpose and Main Duties
We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work in the Examinations and Assessments Office within Registry Services.

The post holder will be responsible for the administration of examinations, assessments and awards for all taught programmes at Birkbeck and for maintaining computerised records of students’ progression. In addition to this will be in regular contact with students and staff providing advice and guidance on examination and assessment policy.

Candidate Requirements
You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, and work well under pressure. You will possess strong IT skills in MS Office and previous experience of using databases (ideally SITS). You will be a team player and have gained at least one years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably in higher education.

Salary: Grade 4 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £25,236 rising to £28,633 per annum.

This post is full time, 35 hours per week (1.0 FTE) and open-ended. The salary quoted above is on the College's London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
