We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic senior developer to take a leading role in the development of a range of key web applications as part of the Web Services Team at Lancaster University. You should have hands-on experience of developing responsive web applications using contemporary technologies. We use a range of technologies, including JavaScript, ASP.NET, C#, Angular JS, Node JS, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS. We’re looking for someone who has a good understanding of the range of contemporary web development technologies and is able to select the most appropriate combination of technologies to fit our requirements both for individual projects and as part of a wider platform strategy.

We work in a scrum-based agile approach using two-week sprints, with a strong emphasis on innovation, working closely with our customers (staff and students) within the university. We are looking for someone with extensive experience of working in a team environment, including the use of Source Control (preferably Git), code reviews, continuous integration and automated testing techniques. You will have the opportunity to help improve the team by providing guidance, support and mentoring to more junior team members, helping to promote best practices in software development.

You must have enthusiasm and a demonstrated capability for problem solving, developing new competencies, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and work well in a team. We would love for you to be part of our team.
