The team is based in the Department of Oncology & Metabolism at the University of Sheffield. It is part of the Mellanby Bone Centre (http://mellanbycentre.org/investigators/) and Sheffield ECMC (http://www.ecmcnetwork.org.uk/sheffield). The team is also a European Associated Laboratory (www.lyos.fr) under the umbrella of the University of Sheffield and INSERM (France).

The research interests of the team are to identify transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms that govern the nesting of tumour cells in the bone marrow and trigger bone metastasis formation. You will study microRNAs with tumour-suppressive or oncogenic functions that are directly controlling target mRNAs/proteins associated with the development and progression of breast cancer bone metastasis.

You should hold a PhD or MD/PhD in a Biomedical Science Subject (or equivalent experience) and have experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
