We are currently inviting applications for the following professorship in the Faculty of Life Sciences, Kleve Campus, to be filled at the earliest possible date:

Professor in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ), Kleve Campus
W2 position (LBesG NRW), reference: 11/F2/17

Your tasks

  • Represent the field of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) in teaching and research in the Faculty of Life Sciences and bring additional expertise in management and certification systems, e.g. in the areas of sustainability, food, medical devices, agricultural production and value chains, product development, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Engage in applied collaborative research with industry, promote technology transfer, and contribute to the continued growth and development of the University.
  • Teach curriculum content at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration in the areas of life sciences, environment, food, agriculture, and health.
  • Lead foundation and elective modules within your field of expertise in German and English, including evening and weekend sessions.

Your Profile

  • Completed graduate degree in engineering, natural or agricultural sciences, as well as a relevant doctorate.
  • Practical work experience in relevant fields.
  • Outstanding research expertise demonstrated by relevant publications, talks, and research projects.
  • Impeccable command of the English language.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and excellent team skills.

The relevant statutory requirements governing the appointment of professors are set forth in § 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz NRW).

Non-native German speakers must possess at least basic working knowledge of German.
