Admissions Administrator

The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts

Reporting to the Admissions Manager, you will play a key role in a small and busy team responsible for processing applications, organising audition/interview days, supporting admissions tutors and facilitating student enrolment as well as handling a wide range of e-mail, telephone and face-to-face enquiries and issues.

The role is therefore both demanding and customer-focused, and you will need to have excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail is also essential.

You must have a strong administrative background, ideally including experience of working within Higher or Further Education. You must also be highly organised, multi-skilled and have a keen eye for detail, as well as being a pro-active team player who appreciates diversity and can support internal and external stakeholders.

As the role will involve responsibilities linked to LIPA’s admissions and student records systems, you will also need to be highly computer literate.

Note: there will be particularly busy periods of the year (especially some weeks in August and September) when it will not be possible to take annual leave.

Closing date for this post: 12.00 noon on Monday 29th January 2018

You can download an application form and further details for this post or request a hardcopy from our website http://lipa.ac.uk/more-about-us/working-here. CVs will not be accepted.
