Salary: UH9 £49,149 pa to £55,297 pa with potential to progress to £58,655 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Grade: UH9
FTE: Full time position working 37 hours per week (1.0 fte)
Duration of Contract: Permanent

The University of Hertfordshire is regarded as the UK’s leading internationally renowned business-facing University and it is embarking on an exciting c£100 million masterplan re-development of its main campuses.

The University requires a new Head of Capital Projects to spear head the delivery of these transformational projects in a timely and cost effective way.

As a strategic thinker with strong major capital projects experience you will lead the external professional teams and internal Project Managers in delivering a diverse range of new builds, refurbishments and infrastructure improvements.

Applicants should have substantive proven experience of working at a senior management level in a construction/maintenance role and an appropriate professional qualification eg. CIOB,RICS,RIBA.

The successful candidate will excel at gaining customer confidence through delivery of successful projects as well as managing framework contracts and possess the drive to take ownership of issues and follow through to a successful conclusion.
