Executive Officer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Faculty of Business and Law as an Executive Officer. In this role you will be providing a full, professional and proactive support service for the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty and provide team leadership for other members of the Executive Support team.

You will act as PA, service key Executive meetings, draft communications and manage small-scale projects on behalf of the Dean. You will oversee the day-to-day administrative processes within the Faculty which include recording and reporting on staff absence, performance and development reviews and arrangement of travel and local recruitment arrangements.

To be successful in this role you will have PA experience for senior staff in a complex organisation, including servicing meetings and working with confidential information.

You will be able to evidence strong organisational skills to plan and prioritise day-to-day and project work, and have excellent IT skills including use of MS Office packages and large databases, being competent in manipulating data and produce reports.

You will have exceptional oral and written communication skills, with particular experience of engaging with senior UWE staff and business professionals. You will also have experience of supervising a team and motivating staff when necessary to improve processes and deliver high quality customer service.
