Hours:  Part-time 0.6 (22.5h per week)
Contract type: Term-time only (34 weeks) /permanent

A new vacancy has arisen to work in our Library Services team. The Assistant Librarian is responsible for providing front-end library services to students, academics and staff at The London Institute of Banking & Finance campus, and for maintaining and developing the e-library services via KnowledgeBank supporting students across our HE, Professional and Schools programmes as well as our alumni.

This role is likely to suit a newly qualified professional with a desire to build a career in an innovative academic library setting. Ideally the candidate will have experience of working in both face-to-face and online library settings, and a broad knowledge of electronic library resources.

The job holder will possess excellent customer service skills and will be a confident communicator. They will have good attention to detail and excellent written, analytical and IT skills. An aptitude and enthusiasm for the changing technological environment and its impact on library services is essential.

The working pattern is flexible and will be discussed at the time of interview.
