Cardiff University - School of Optometry and Vision Sciences

We are excited to announce a new role in the School, and are seeking applications from pro-active individuals to join our Technical department.

The successful post holder will be responsible for a variety of duties across the School, ranging from supporting the School’s safety, Health & Environment commitments; diagnosing/repairing equipment faults; supporting teaching & research activities and liaising with colleagues to identify and provide for facilities based requirements.

Applicants should be pro-active and enjoy exploring customers’ needs to provide the best service.  They must have previous experience working or studying in a laboratory environment.

The ability to work within a team, solve problems and the ability to communicate effectively are all pre-requisite to the role. Acting as a key support to School events, it will be important that the role-holder is available for occasional evening and weekend work (paid overtime).

This post is full time, permanent and available immediately.

Salary: £18,777 - £20,989 per annum (Grade 3)
