Human Resources Advisory Assistant (Fixed Term for 12 months)

The HR team is on a journey of growth, change and transformation. The HR Advisor’s role will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and professional advice to all staff members, whilst supporting the HR Business Partner with local HR day to day processes and policy implementation. The HR Advisor will be responsible for ensuring all HR procedures are delivered on time and to the agreed level for all parts of the employee life cycle, in line with the University HR Strategy and Implementation Plan. The HR Advisor will work in partnership with the relevant college/professional service area, providing advice and guidance. Whilst also ensuring development and delivery of new systematic approaches to identify issues and developing innovative solutions in partnership with the HR Business Partner, managers and staff.

The successful candidate should be able to work to the Universities Values, have a current CIPD Membership or significant experience with a commitment to qualify. Key experience in providing professional, efficient and customer focused HR services. Must have strong experience of delivering and implementing HR policies to a high standard and on time. Strong organisational and planning skills are key to the success of this role.

This position will be based at the Singleton Campus but you may be expected to work at the Bay Campus on occasions.

Additional Information

This a fixed term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Hours of work will be 35 per week. (This is a full time post but applications from individuals seeking part time, job share or flexible working arrangements are welcome.) The normal expectation is that the successful applicant will be appointed to the minimum of the agreed scale with annual increments on 1 October each year (subject to completing six months service).

Annual leave entitlement is 31 days per annum plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part time staff).
