The School of Healthcare Sciences is looking to recruit a lecturer with expertise in the following area:

•    Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging

The School of Healthcare Sciences provides a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate education that directly improves health outcomes and healthcare for patients and families. This includes courses and research in Midwifery; Nursing (Adult, Child and Mental Health); Occupational Therapy; Physiotherapy; Clinical Photography; Perioperative Practice; and, Radiography (diagnostic and therapy)
 
This post will be based out in practice to undertake and oversee the clinical education and training of Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging students on placement within clinical departments at which students of Cardiff University are placed.  The current position/s will be primarily based within the Cardiff & Vale Health Board at University Hospital of Wales, Llandough, Barry & Velindre Hospitals. The post holder will also contribute to other areas of school activity in the undergraduate (both pre-registration and post registration education) and postgraduate education of midwives, nurses and allied professionals.

Candidates should have a high quality clinical practice based publications, a passion for student focussed innovative teaching and possess or be working towards a relevant Masters or PhD degree. Successful candidates will be employed on the University Teaching and Scholarship career pathway.  All candidates must have current registration with the Health Care Professions Council.
 
Candidates appointed at Grade 6 will be required, as part of their probation to undertake Cardiff University's Academic Practice – a formally recognised programme of staff development in the area of teaching, learning and assessment.

The position is part-time  (0.6FTE - 21 hrs per week) and is fixed term until 30 March 2019.  The post is also available as a secondment opportunity. 

Salary: £32,548 - £38,833 per annum, pro rata for hours worked if part-time (Grade 6)
Salary: £41,212 - £47,722 per annum, pro rata for hours worked if part-time (Grade 7)
