Applicants are invited to apply for the position of Research Associate within the Cardiff School of Engineering. The main duty of this role is to conduct research within the Advanced High Voltage Engineering Research Centre into lightning impact on Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) cables.  The post holder will contribute to the overall research performance of the School and University, carrying out research leading to the publishing of work in high-quality journals. To pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same.

This post is full time (35 hours) and fixed term from 1 February 2018 until 31 October 2018 (9 months).

Salary: £32,548 - £38,833 per annum (Grade 6).  It is anticipated that an appointment will only be made at point 30 - £32,548 per annum.
