Postdoctoral Research Assistant

Applications are sought for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to undertake research investigations in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) in order to realise the objectives and development of the research programme. The research will be based in the Centre for Tumour Biology, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.

Essential requirements for the post include a PhD in a biological subject relevant to this project and strong experience in cellular biology and/or membrane trafficking. Experience in proximity proteomic assays would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.

The project aims to characterise and understand the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) c-Met trafficking and signalling on autophagic endomembranes (Nat. Commun. 2016, 7:11942).

The post is full time and funded for 3 years. Starting salary will be in the range £36,677 - £41,991 per annum inclusive of London Allowance (depending on experience and qualifications). Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
