The University of Manchester has the largest single student community in the UK with over 38,000 students on campus. With plans to further shape our study offer to full-time, part-time and blended and distance learning students, we are developing an exciting new student insight function and are looking for a number of Student Insight Officers with proven track records to help realise this vision.

The successful candidates will develop and manage University-wide capabilities for future scanning, market intelligence and market research to inform strategic decision making in relation to student recruitment, portfolio development and the student experience. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a major and prestigious institution.

Based within the Division of Student Recruitment and International Development, and reporting to the Student Insight Manager, the successful candidates will work closely with colleagues from Faculties and Schools and across a range of Professional Support Services.

Candidates are expected to have a proven track record of supporting a market insight/market research function and to evidence previous success and impact. Candidates will require the proven ability to delivery successful projects, prioritise workloads and work effectively as a member of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving and people skills are all essential.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. As we are committed to the principles of the Race Equality Charter Mark, we would particularly welcome applications from men and the black and minority ethnic (BME) community, who are both currently under-represented at this level.
