Applications are invited for a highly motivated, enthusiastic project scientist to join the Future Manufacturing Research Hub in Continuous Manufacturing & Advanced Crystallisation (CMAC; www.cmac.ac.uk) at the University of Strathclyde. CMAC is a large dynamic Centre located across 7 UK universities with the physical hub located at the University of Strathclyde. The post holder will have a good first degree in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering, physical science or related discipline. Experience of modelling packages related to pharmaceutical unit operations and/or pharmaceutics would be advantageous. Knowledge and first-hand experience of application of PAT tools for physical and chemical analysis is preferred.

You will be a hands on practitioner with the ability to design, execute and critique experimental programs for crystallisation, formulation and downstream pharmaceutical processes for oral solid dose form manufacture. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the development of micro-factories for pharmaceutical applications. Additionally you will utilise your experimental work for use in development of predictive design capabilities.

You will be qualified to HND level with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to demonstrate prioritisation and scheduling of your own workload. Candidates must have strong problem solving abilities, demonstrating innovation and creativity in dealing with research challenges.
