Applications are invited for the post of Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The successful applicant will join a collaborative research programme led by Professor Julie Daniels and Dr Sajjad Ahmad and will carry out a wide range of duties including the development of a reproducible culture system for human corneal endothelial cells from older donor corneas. The position is funded for a period of 18 months in the first instance.

Essential criteria include a PhD in human corneal endothelial culture and biology, good manufacturing practise/eye banking experience, publications in the field of corneal endothelial transplantation. In addition candidates should have experience in culturing other corneal cell types (such as limbal epithelial cells) and of international collaborations and presentations in the field.
