We are seeking a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the Molecular Imaging Group at the Centre for Advanced Biomedical Imaging ( The successful candidate will focus on the biological evaluation of novel positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracers for cancer imaging. Applicants will need to plan and conduct a high quality programme of research in the biological evaluation of novel radiotracers for cancer imaging.  Their tasks will determine the time course of uptake, efflux and stability of novel radiotracers developed as part of this programme of work, both in cells and in living subjects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant multidisciplinary research group within one of the premier biomedical imaging centres in Europe ( This post is funded for 2 years in the first instance.

Applicants will need a PhD in cancer biology, biochemistry, molecular imaging or similar. Previous experience with molecular imaging techniques, specifically PET Imaging is required as is expert knowledge and skills in the molecular characterisation of tumour cells. Knowledge of tumour response and resistance to therapy would be desirable.

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,635 - £41,864 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
