Finance Assistant

University of the West of England, Bristol - Finance Department

The Finance Team are seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will support a small and busy section within Management accounts with their provision of a professional service to customers (both internal and external).

You will principally be providing support to the team by creating - on a yearly, monthly and/or ad-hoc basis - financial reports, analysing data within those reports and reporting variances and other issues to the team and budget holders.

The role also has a strong financial administrative function, including the input & extraction of data from the Agresso Finance system and staff position creation & maintenance within the Human Resources (HR) and payroll system.

Execution of these duties will require regular liaison with budget holders and other staff within Finance and other service departments (e.g. Facilities).

The role is likely to be varied and would suit both experienced Finance staff and people wishing to improve their knowledge and ability within the Finance function.
