It is a full time contract. The period of contract is 3 years which is renewable subject to mutual agreement.

Applications are now invited for the position of Lecturer, Assistant Professor or Senior Assistant Professor in Marketing Communications and Branding, Economics Programme Area, UTB School of Business, and suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply.

Job Requirements
Applicants must have at least an Upper Second-class Honours degree, a Master’s degree (preferably Distinction) and a PhD qualification in the area of Marketing and/or Marketing Communications and/or Branding and/or International Marketing and/or Services Marketing or related field from a recognised university. Applicants with a record of research productivity and teaching excellence will be given preference. Candidates with relevant industrial experience and /or professional qualification(s) will be an advantage. Applicants should also be qualified to supervise undergraduate and graduate research. Postgraduate teaching experience will be preferred and an ability to teach other functional areas will be an added advantage.

The successful applicant should be able to design and teach courses in marketing communications, branding, promotion, as well as in peripheral areas at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful applicant is also expected to take a leading role in research in these areas. Active participation in the activities of the Faculty and the University including research, seminar and administration is also expected. A demonstrated interest and ability to assume a leadership role in the Economics Program Area group is highly desirable.
