Office Team Leader

University of Sheffield - Student Access to Mental Health Service and Counselling Service - Student Support Services

Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University?

We have an exciting opportunity in the Student Access to Mental Health Service (SAMHS) and University Counselling Service (UCS) for someone with a passion for leading a team, looking to use their management and organisation skills to make an impact on the seamless running of both services and project functions of SAMHS and the UCS.

You will have the ability to motivate and manage a team of staff and be committed to working within large teams. As you will be responsible for providing the day to day line management for the admin team, experience of reviewing individual/team progress and performance and embedding organisational strategy into individual performance planning, would be an advantage but is not essential.

Student Access to Mental Health Service and the University Counselling Service sit under Student Support Services (SSS), which provides a wide range of support services to help look after student health and wellbeing and to help students make the most of their time at University. In this role you will support SSS by playing a key part in coordinating and complementing the clinical governance provided by the clinical staff using a high degree of management, customer care and interpersonal skills.

If you are passionate about leading and motivating a team, then we would love to hear from you.

We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development. We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
