Applications are invited for a fixed-term position to develop video processing and analysis algorithms for autonomous navigation applications. The post-holder will develop software and perform pilot studies.

The successful candidate will have graduate level qualification (preferably a Ph.D.) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. Relevant expertise in research techniques, visual data compression, programming (preferably in C/C++), and scientific writing is essential. Candidates with video and image processing, compression or analysis experience are encouraged to apply for this role. Previous research experience with point cloud, autonomous navigation, and open-source software development is desirable. The successful candidate should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to show initiative and work effectively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team.

Due to the funding conditions the successful candidate should ideally be available to start work by early March 2018.
