Are you a sharp-minded individual with experience of research administration, clinical trials, biomarkers and cancer

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to:

  • Manage the planning, delivery and reporting of the Clinical Research Committee (CRC) and its associated expert review panels
  • Manage committee budgets and ensure grants awarded by the CRC are managed efficiently and within agreed governance, policies and timeframes
  • Recommend enhancements to funding processes to achieve CRUK’s strategic objectives
  • Build strong relationships with the UK cancer research community, offering advice on application procedures and CRUK’s funding policies and promoting the funding schemes
  • Contribute to other activities relevant to the team’s work as required.

Now we need a Senior Research Funding Manager to work in our Clinical Research Funding team, to lead on the process of application, review, funding and reporting of grants, as well as supporting on other activities to optimise clinical research.

You will be able to manage multiple tasks independently, summarise complex clinical and scientific ideas clearly and accurately, and communicate confidently with senior researchers. You will be a team player, who organises your workload well and consistently meets deadlines.
