Salary: Senior Lecturer: £42,418 to £56,950 (Grade G). Lecturer: £34,520 to £42,418 (Grade F) - depending on qualifications and experience.

The role

We are seeking to appoint a new Programme Director with a particular interest in a business-related discipline.  The post will specifically manage the delivery of the Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship programme launching in September 2018. It is delivered through online and distance learning, supported by short periods of residential study on campus and a significant element of workplace learning. 

You will have responsibility for managing and monitoring the Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship Programme and associated operational administration, curriculum development and quality management and enhancement, including accreditation by relevant professional bodies, where appropriate.

About you

For this post you will:

  • Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by a PhD in a business related discipline, or equivalent (optional or nearing completion for Lecturer level role) in order to teach and support learning on degree apprenticeship modules.
  • Have a consistent track record of excellent teaching across a variety of modules and levels within your discipline as might be expected of a very experienced HE Teacher.
  • Contribute to the design, development and delivery a range of modules or programmes at various levels; applying innovative and appropriate teaching techniques; identifying sources of funding and securing funds for own scholarly activities and providing academic leadership to those working within programme areas.
  • Be expected to work towards Principal Fellow of the HEA and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
