Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Linguistics

Professor Aditi Lahiri has been awarded a European Research Council Advanced Investigator Grant for her project ‘Morphon: Resolving Morpho-Phonological Alternation: Historical, Neurolinguistic, and Computational approaches’. The overall role of the post is to be responsible for the experimental approaches to morpho-phonological representation and processing, focusing on neurolinguistic and psycholinguistic experimental research on the comprehension of words and phrases.

As well as a good first degree in either linguistics or psychology or a related subject (with a focus on language) and a doctoral degree in either linguistics or psychology (with a focus on language), it is essential that the post holder have an excellent background in neurolinguistics research, particularly in EEG, be able to carry out EEG acquisition and analysis of EEG data, and have a very strong statistical background.

The post will be based at the Language and Brain Laboratory in 41 Wellington Square, Oxford, part of the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics.
