The University of Auckland, in partnership with the Auckland District Health Board, are bringing together the expertise of New Zealand’s preeminent research-led University and a leading Women’s Health clinical service to recruit an academic specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology or a sub-speciality area, particularly in maternal fetal medicine.

In order to further advance already flourishing education and research in O&G and to enhance the existing clinical expertise, we are seeking an Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer to join our team. You can look forward to a mix of research, teaching, leadership and clinical work which enables you to maintain your clinical expertise while expanding your research portfolio.

It is essential that you are an obstetrician and gynaecologist (if appropriate with a relevant subspecialty qualification), are research active and committed to research-led teaching. Your experience in research should be backed by an appropriate qualification (PhD or similar research qualification) and the ability to obtain New Zealand medical registration (
