Archivist (Academic Engagement)

We are looking for an outstanding Archivist to support academic engagement with archives of the Museum of English Rural Life and Special Collections.

We seek an Archivist to support the development of Research Frameworks designed to promote engagement of academic researchers with archives of the Museum of English Rural Life and Special Collections. The post holder will contribute to research funding applications and undertake archival cataloguing of collections, which have been identified as a priority in the UMASCS research frameworks.

You will have:

  • Experience of facilitating and supporting academic research projects.
  • Experience of cataloguing archive collections to ISAD (G).
  • Experience of writing strategic documents.
  • Subject knowledge relevant to UMASCS’ collections (e.g. publishing, printing, agriculture, literature and business records).
