Salary: £29,799 to £38,833 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited to the above new role. The role is part of the School of Life Sciences Research Support team, which is responsible for enabling the development of excellent research and knowledge exchange activity across three Research Divisions. 

This role will co-ordinate and facilitate research development, including horizon scanning, funding proposal development, the research project lifecycle, and impact generation. It will play a pivotal role in the coordination of Research Excellence Framework (REF) planning activities across the School, linking in with Faculty and wider University counterparts.

The role holder will also support the School in meeting their strategic research objectives around research performance, and they will actively engage and work closely with academic and research staff across the three Research Divisions.

Candidates must have a good honours degree or equivalent qualification and/or have a proven track record of relevant work experience; a Postgraduate qualification in Life Sciences or equivalent experience would also be desirable but not essential. Knowledge of the Research Funding landscape, Research lifecycle within a Higher Education setting, good project management, negotiation, communication and presentation skills are also required.

This is a full-time permanent role. Job share arrangements may be considered for this post.
