Queen Mary University of London - Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine

(Fixed term – 12 months)

A statistician is required to join a team in the Centre for Environmental and Preventive Medicine, based at our Charterhouse Square site. The postholder will collaborate with researchers under the supervision of the Professor of Medical Statistics to ensure the statistical integrity of all aspects of EUROlinkCAT: Establishing a Linked European Cohort of Children with Congenital Anomalies. EUROlinkCAT is an EU-funded five year HORIZON 2020 Project led by Queen Mary University of London involving over 20 congenital anomaly registries in 14 European countries linking their data to mortality, hospital discharge, prescription and educational databases, in order to understand long-term outcomes of children with rare congenital anomalies. Each registry will perform standard analyses and submit summary tables to a Central Results Repository. A cornerstone of the project is the harmonisation of variables across countries to ensure that analysis results can be aggregated and interpreted centrally, thereby allowing hypotheses on health and education to be investigated at a European level. The postholder will contribute to the standardisation of data and assist in the implementation of analysis plans to ensure that data from all countries is collated and analysed in a systematic way.
