This post is available until 28 March 2019 and will be based in the Belfast Reading Centre managed by Professor Tunde Peto. The successful candidate will work alongside other staff to provide an effective and efficient technical service for various clinical studies in diseases where ophthalmic images are undertaken in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, NHS Trusts and contract research organisations, including image analysis for the Northern Ireland Diabetic Retinal Screening programme.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Be registered with British Association of Retinal Screeners.
  • Have a minimum of three years’ relevant hands-on work experience to include:

- Experience in grading high volume Diabetic Eye Disease image sets;

- Experience of providing input into grading protocols for clinical trials;

- Clinical Trials level ophthalmic image analysis;

- Experience in providing input into training programme on image analysis;

- Experience of working to SOPs.
