Research Officer (Enzymology)

Applications are invited for the above full time post working in the BioComposites Centre.

The post is available for three years in the first instance and is funded through the PRO-ENRICH project, with support from the European Union’s Biobased Industries- Joint Undertaking (BBI-JU). The BBI-JU is a €3.7 billion Public-Private Partnership between the EU and the Bio-based Industries Consortium, operating under Horizon 2020, with a focus on developing new biorefining technologies to sustainably transform renewable natural resources into bio-based products, materials and fuels.

The PRO-ENRICH project consortium consists of 16 partners from 7 countries (UK, Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Slovenia and Greece), with a mixture of 8 SMEs, 5 large enterprises, 2 RTOs and 1 University.

Candidates should be educated to PhD standard in enzymology, with a proven publication track record in peer-reviewed journals and relevant industrial experience is also desirable.

The successful candidate will be a driven and talented individual with a strong interest in multi-disciplinary research and will be expected to commence employment on the 1st May 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter.
