Centre Development Manager

Job Purpose
The John Smith Centre for Public Service (JSC – ‘the Centre’) is seeking to recruit a Centre Development Manager to develop, deliver and be accountable for a diverse range of projects and activities which span the Centre’s various interests, and to autonomously manage the day-to-day running of the Centre and its staff.

The post-holder will report and be accountable to the Management Board of the Centre and will work with external consultants and range of high-level internal and external stakeholders to create business and project plans which implement and deliver the strategic objectives of the Centre.

The position will also be responsible for managing and delivering fundraising and marketing activities for the Centre, and managing the Centre’s governance and administration.

Standard Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the Management, Professional and Administrative Grade, level 7, £34,520 - £38,833 per annum.

This post is currently fixed term until 10 April 2020. The position is full time.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities’ Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
