Student Experience Administrator

Part time (18 hours per week), permanent contract

The post-holder will provide dedicated School-based support to improve student experience and academic engagement. In order to provide day-to-day support they will be required to work Monday to Friday and working hours can be negotiated on successful appointment. The post-holder will put forward proposals for the development of student initiatives and implement them following consultation and agreement with senior colleagues. Initiatives will complement the work undertaken by academic leads for student experience.

The ideal candidate will be a visible and approachable presence for students in the school, willing to assist in the co-ordination of student activities, contribute to student induction programmes and reviewing student survey results, developing appropriate action plan proposals.

The Student Experience Administrator will contribute to the development of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will therefore be able to review and evaluate current provision in the School and to identify further opportunities for enhancement in this area. They also may be invited to contribute to an area of student experience across the College.

Candidates should have a first degree preferably in one of the academic disciplines of the College (or equivalent).

The post-holder will be required to have experience of supporting students in higher education (either in a voluntary or paid capacity) and an understanding of undergraduate and postgraduate education and the student lifecycle. The successful candidate will have the ability to analyse data and to use the outcomes to develop action plan proposals and an understanding of the issues affecting the student academic experience in a higher education environment. Salary: starting salary is normally in the range £22,277 TO £23,933. With potential progression once in post.
