Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Battery Modelling

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate in Battery Modelling to join the Energy and Power Group at the Department of Engineering Science based in central Oxford and Begbroke Science Park.

The successful candidate will join a world-class multi-institution team and be responsible for developing analytical multiphysics battery models and implementing efficient numerical solutions. The post will be funded from the Faraday Challenge “Multi-Scale Modelling Fast Start” project and is fixed-term for 36 months or until the end of the project (28 February 2021), whichever comes first.

You should hold (or near completing) a PhD/DPhil in engineering, physics, mathematics, or an allied discipline. Your publications should demonstrate experience with multiphysics transport simulations. You will be responsible for developing theories on paper and implementing them in software, and will participate in group activities, project meetings, and external conferences.
