The University of Southampton is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled, innovative and experienced professional to the role of Senior Learning Designer within the Digital Learning Team in iSolutions. The ideal candidate will be steeped in an knowledge of blended learning and have proven experience of supporting the adoption of new technologies for the enhancement of teaching, learning and research. They will have a creative approach to tackling complex projects and will manage and support a team of Learning Designers, working alongside the Digital Lead in iSolutions. 

They will hold a vital role in the implementation of the strategy for teaching and learning, which forms a pillar in the 10 year plan for the University. The role requires specialist knowledge of learning design principles and will have a particular focus on working with members of academic staff to support the development of pedagogically sound courses, rich in interactivity and high quality learning objects that measurably impact the student experience.

We are looking for someone with relevant knowledge of current and emerging technologies who can contribute to the on-going development of the University’s technology enhanced learning systems, projects and services. This role will suit a motivated individual with proven experience in learning design and learning technologies and the delivery of large-scale blended learning projects.
