Do you have an interest in the railway industry? Can you assist in the expansion of our railway research activity?
An exciting opportunity exists to join the world renowned WMG at the University of Warwick, to undertake research into railway propulsion systems, involving the development, modelling, and testing of current and future drive systems for railway vehicles. Exploiting the unique Vehicle Energy Facility at WMG and a new facility enabling energy storage R&D, you will contribute to the WMG HVM Catapult focus on low carbon mobility.
The ideal candidate will have a significant background in understanding complex systems relevant to energy management and energy storage systems in vehicles, ideally gained from industrial experience in the commercial vehicle or rail sectors, coupled with the ability to engage actively with industry collaborators and project partners.
You will possess a good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, together with a serious appetite to engage in project delivery and reporting.
