Clinical Facilitator

You will join the Clinical Skills Centre team to help facilitate, deliver, and evaluate clinical and procedural skills training primarily for medical students in the Aberdeen MBChB programme, increasing the resources for advanced clinical skills and procedural training. The posts will be based in the Suttie Centre at Foresterhill but will also involve close ongoing contact with clinical areas across the hospitals and other clinical settings in Aberdeen.

The post holder will need to be an experienced healthcare practitioner who has the confidence and professional credibility in order to carry out this role effectively. You should have a primary healthcare practitioner qualification, and ideally be educated to at least degree level. You also must possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in clinical and procedural skills, ideally in an NHS acute health care setting, to work within teaching programmes and have experience of clinical teaching and/or practice development projects. You should ideally be an Immediate Life Support Course (UK Resuscitation Council) Provider.

The post is supported jointly by the University and NHS Grampian. Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 scale (£32,548 - £38,833 per annum).
